On Saturday March 31st Laboratory will co-host the opening event for Helsinki Photography Biennial’s “The Month of Photography – Valokuvan kuukausi”.

There will be a discussion on fresh ways of curating photography for print and online publications. One of them is a tabloid called YYY, launched at the event, and a vision by young talent Katri Naukkarinen. The other speakers are Veli-Matti Hoikka and Verna Kovanen representing Chicago.fi, and Helen Korpak representing Traum Noir. The discussion (in Finnish) will be led by Suvi Saloniemi from Laboratory.

6 pm the official Opening of the Month of Photography by HPB12

Celebration will be accompanied by Mash the News performance group and Dj Artur from Musta Kissa IKI club.
